“Execute”

It’s time to do a check guys… how are y’all feeling? It’s the second week of 2023, and it is kind of going by fast already. I know everyone was on their “New Year, New Me” flow so what’s the word? Are y’all doing what you said yall were going to do? Have you been marking things off your list, or are you still stagnant in getting it done?

I ain’t even going to lie… I’m like 50/50 right now. Part of me is ACTUALLY doing what I said I was going to do, and the other part is a drag, but it’s coming together. I’ve been really trying to take my branding company seriously this year because I normally treat it like a “side hustle.” But had to realize the big companies that we know today all started as a “side hustle.” So, remind yourself that.

But overall, I’m feeling okay. I’ve been tunnel vision lately because I’m set on sticking to my script and executing this year. Sometimes I have a bad habit of deviating away from my plan so I’m really being intentional with my time and energy right now to make sure I don’t do that. My word and my motto for the year is EXECUTION. We will often sit on things and information for a while before pulling the trigger. I went to a conference last year where Steve Harvey was one of the key speakers… One of the things he said that stuck with me was “JUST START.” A lot of times we don’t start because we want everything to be aligned right instead of just starting.

Something I’ve been doing lately to help me stay organized and to stick to my script is creating a To-Do List for myself and every Sunday, putting my tasks/events for the week on my phone calendar. I used to try to get everything done on my To-Do List in a day but I had to realize that it’s okay to split up the tasks per day.

There are two types of people in this world… doers and thinkers. Which one are you? It’s okay to think, but after you think- you must do it.

I’m just thinking of thoughts that come to my head because again, I want this blog to be as personal as possible. A lot of times people dress up reality like it’s all picture-perfect and shit, and I don’t want my intent to be that at all when writing these blogs.

Lately, my thoughts have been very positive lately. I realized that when you have no drama or negativity in your life, you prepare the universe to grant you and accept only positive things. And it’s a beautiful and wonderful feeling. Not saying I don’t go through shit, but learn how to handle situations better and control your emotions instead of letting your emotions control you.

Even if you are in a funk, try to deal with your emotions for 24 hours and then move on from it. Whoever is reading this- a message that’s on my heart is “Life will get better. Keep going.” I know right now it is a tight space for a lot of people, but it’s going to be okay. Unlock that spirit or hustle in you to really get on your shit and handle your business.
